When you open an account with RaboPlus you automatically gain access to:
- Do I need to change banks to have a RaboPlus account?

No, RaboPlus is an online only account that works in conjunction with your current bank. The RaboPlus account will be linked to your existing bank account to allow direct credit/debit transactions.
- What is a linked account?

A linked account is a bank account you have with another bank that you link to your RaboPlus account. This account can then be used to transfer money to and from your RaboPlus account. The linked account must be held in the same name as your RaboPlus account.
- Can I change my linked account?

Yes. However, you will need to complete a new direct debit authority form and provide us with a copy of a statement from your new linked bank account.
- Why do I need to submit a Direct Debit Authority?

By providing RaboPlus with a completed direct debit authority you are able to make one-off and regular transfers from your linked account into your RaboPlus Savings Account(s).
- Do I need to complete an identity check?

Under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006, effective from 12th December 2007, we are required to identify account owners and those persons operating an account.
What information do I need to provide to satisfy the AML identity check?
For individuals and authorised signatories:
RaboPlus will use information provided on the account opening form to perform an electronic identity check. In some cases we may contact you and request additional information to be provided to us in the form of a certified copy of your Drivers Licence, Birth Certificate or Passport.
For incorporated bodies (as either an account owner or as a trustee), a copy of certificate of incorporation will be required, along with the name of company directors.
For DIY super funds and trusts an original or certified copy of the Trust Deed will be required.
For partnerships an original or certified copy of the partnership agreement will be required.
For businesses a copy of Certificate of registration of the business name will be required.
How do I obtain certified documents?
To obtain a certified copy of an original document, please take your original Drivers Licence, Birth Certificate or Passport to one of the authorised parties below who are legally able to certify them for you. When you take the document to one of the below persons, they will take a photocopy of your original document and sign the photocopy to confirm that it is a True Copy of your original document.

- Can I open an account for a child?

Yes simply select 'An account for another person' during the online account opening process. However if your child is 12 years of age or over they can open an account in their own right.
- You can open an account on behalf of any child under the age of 18 years. The account will be opened in your name and you will be responsible for the operation of the account.
- Can I open a business account?

Yes, simply select 'Business account' during the online account opening process.
- Is it possible to open a joint account?

Yes. Our online form allows for both individual and joint accounts to be opened. (Please remember that your linked account will also need to be in the same joint name.)
- How long before I can access my RaboPlus account?

Following receipt of your application, we will send you your account number together with a Digipass (the Digipass is a device that allows you to access the secure website). A few days later, your initial PIN for the Digipass will arrive. You can use these to login and manage your accounts. The whole process will take no longer than 10 days.
- How do I open a term deposit?

First, you will need to open a savings account. Once you activate your savings account on the secure Internet banking site you can open a term deposit account with as little as $1000. Just go to the term deposit menu and select 'New Term Deposit'.

Your managed funds portfolio will be available once your savings account is set up.
Managed funds can only be purchased by an account holder over the age of 18.
